School's Out for Summer!

Yay!! So school is officially out, and I couldn't be happier! I am so excited to spend time with Julia. We are going to have so much fun traveling, swimming, biking, shopping, it's going to be great!

This past weekend we went to the farm, and introduced Julia to grass. She was so funny in it. She questioned it at first, then rolled and crawled in it, like it was nothing new to her. We had a nice time spending Memorial Day with the family.

This weekend Julia and I are heading to see Grandma and Grandpa Short in Arkansas for a little bit. We are really excited and can't wait to see more family.

Great Weather, Great Times

Last week we had lots of rain, and I am so glad it's gone! Now the baby and I can go outside more and enjoy the sun. Julia is now seven months, and has a new tooth. She's been pretty good about it. She hasn't had any meltdowns yet (knock on wood) in regards to the pain. She's still an army crawler, and it's like any day she'll get the hang of it. Of course, I'm more pushy about it. Not to mention everyone asks about it, and I keep saying 'Almost, She's about there...' But, Joey keeps reminding me that it will happen whenever she's ready. So until then, I'll just have to patiently wait.

Today was Julia's first 5K. We did good. Sara, Julia and I had a lot of fun! I was tired at the end from all the hills, and Julia was exhausted. When I went to congratulate her for completing her first 5K, she was sleeping. We are just enjoying the nice Spring weather, and love showing the baby a whole new world outside of the house.

New Buddy

So last Friday we went to Cat and Gary's house and played the Wii. We also got to introduce our little girls to each other. Julia is ten days older than Austyn and they had a great time playing. Julia had a lot of fun playing with her new buddy and her toys.

Family filled weekend

Hello all,
This weekend was quite busy for us. Friday night Julia spent her first night on the farm at Papa and Meme's house. We had a great time! Afterwards, we went to Great Grandma Bigg's place, and spent quality time with her. She cooked a yummy meal, and we enjoyed our day with Great Grandma.

Sunday afternoon Cousin Rachel spent the night with us. She drove from Indiana to stop and rest for an evening with us, and continued her way down to Rogers, Ar where she will be interning at JB Hunt for the Summer. We can't wait to spend more time with her this Summer.

Hello, Hello, Hello!!!

Hello There,

So, I'm starting a family webpage for my family and I. I got the idea from some of my myspace buddies (thanks Katie and Jill!) this way I can keep in touch with everyone and let you know what we are up to.

Julia is 6 mos and 3 weeks!!! She's getting so big, and cuter everyday. She babbles all the time, and is a big time army crawler. She scoots all over the place. She is eating foods now. Some of her favs are bananas, pears and apples (Here's Grandma feeding Julia bananas). I took on the challege on making all her food, and I love it. She is also sitting up now. Our baby is more independent everyday now.
